Jonathan Weiser, MD, is a board-certified plastic surgeon and co-surgeon at The Physicians Institute of Cosmetic and Reconstructive Surgery in Hollywood, Florida. He has been in practice since 1992. He specializes in cosmetic surgery of the face, breast, and body, including facelift, blepharoplasty (eyelid surgery), the Fox Eye Lift, breast augmentation, breast lift, tummy tuck, and liposuction. Training
Dr. Weiser completed a five-year general surgery residency at Lincoln Medical Center in the South Bronx. It included a year at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center and concluded with his term as Chief Resident. He then completed plastic surgery training at Brown University and Rhode Island Hospital, where he trained in cosmetic and reconstructive surgery of the face and body.
Experience and Innovation
A native Floridian, Dr. Weiser returned to South Florida after training and has since performed more than 8,000 procedures. He has developed new techniques in breast reconstruction and labiaplasty. He has presented his work at the American Society for Reconstructive Microsurgery (SIEA flap delay) and the American Society of Plastic Surgeons (scarless breast reconstruction). His reconstructive background informs his cosmetic work, particularly in revision surgery and complex cases. He is known for treating every patient with respect and dignity.
Beyond the Operating Room
Before medicine, Dr. Weiser performed at Gainesville's Hippodrome Theatre, including the world stage premiere of They Shoot Horses, Don't They?. He also studied at the University of Florida College of Law before returning to science. He was featured on MTV's True Life: I'm
Getting Breast Implants and in a Discovery Channel program on breast reconstruction.
Dr. J. Craig Uecker
Plastic surgeon and one of the founding physicians of the Physician’s Institute of Cosmetic and Reconstructive Surgery.
With over 30 years of experience, I specialize in a comprehensive approach to aesthetic and reconstructive procedures. I was born in Hollywood, Florida, where I have had the privilege of establishing my surgical practice since 1994. I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Biology from Harvard University, graduating Cum Laude.
During my training, I was recognized with the Brian Piccolo Scholar-Athlete Scholarship and the Henry Lamar Most Dedicated Scholar-Athlete Award.
I served as Chief of Plastic Surgery at Broward General Hospital and, together with Dr. Weiser, co-founded the Cleveland Clinic’s Plastic Surgery Residency Program, where I contributed to the training of new generations of plastic surgeons.
