A Breast Lift (Mastopexy) can raise and reshape breasts by simply tightening loose breast tissue that typically accompanies sagging or low-hanging breasts. Along with a Breast Lift, the areola size can be reduced and in some cases is accompanied by a Breast Augmentation. A potential candidate for a Breast Lift procedure would be someone who feels as though her breasts have lost their natural firmness due to pregnancy, weight loss or simply aging.

What does a Breast Lift accomplish?

● The breast tissue has taken on a more flattened or elongated shape

● Without the use of bra support, the breast falls below the natural tissue crease

● The areola/nipple area points downward

● Stretched skin is apparent due to pregnancy or weight loss

How long does the surgery take?

A Breast Lift (Mastopexy) procedure typically takes about two hours to complete unless accompanied by a Breast Augmentation, which would add an additional one and a half hours to the overall procedure time.

Are the results of a Breast Lift permanent?

The loss of elasticity, which caused the original sagging of the breast, can recur. A vast majority of patients, however, are able to maintain their Breast Lift results and therefore do not require any secondary procedures.
